Donate Your Items
Give your items a second life with a donation to Community Thrift. When you donate your gently used items, you’re helping us provide affordable goods to our community and support AMVETS as we donate a portion of all sales to the organization.
We accept donations during our operating hours:
Monday – Friday: 10am to 7pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10am to 6pm
If you are calling for a pick-up, our drivers service the following areas: North Hills, South Hills, Robinson, and Greentree.
Clean out your closets and gather the items you want to donate. Items need to be in good condition with all their parts free of stains and extensive wear. Place your items in bins, boxes, or bags.
Prepare Your Donations
No appointment is necessary! Our team is ready to collect your donations every day at our Greentree thrift store location. Just pull around back to our donation center and we will help you unload if available. Donations are tax-deductible, so make sure you pick up your receipt before you leave!
Drop Off to Our Store
We have partnered with AMVETS to make it easier to donate to our store. Call us at 412-937-9010 to schedule a pick-up. On the scheduled day, place your items outside your front door by 8:30AM in plastic bags or boxes marked for AMVETS. Our driver will arrive between 9am and 5pm.

What We Accept Clothing, Shoes and Accessories: Gently used clothing for all ages, shoes, hats, belts, and handbags. Household Items: Kitchenware, small appliances, decor, linens, and more. Furniture: Smaller furniture such as dining chairs and nightstands, in good condition. Electronics: Smaller working electronics such as DVD players and small gadgets. Books and Media: Books, CDs, DVDs, and records. Toys and Games: Gently used toys, board games, and puzzles. Sporting Equipment: Golf clubs, bikes, racquets, and more. Holiday Items: Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and more.
